Work from the solo exhibition Futurology, October–December 2024.

Futurology marked Murnau Den Linden’s first solo exhibition in Switzerland. The exhibition explored the idea of “written in stone” through plastic, using the material as a symbol of permanence, preservation, and durability. Rather than treating plastic as disposable, Murnau Den Linden used it to create objects and environments that preserve ideas, memories, and possible futures.

The works take the experience of greenhouses, PVC curtains, and other plastic environments as a starting point, treating them as spaces that separate one reality from another. Light, PVC, and acrylic glass were used to create installations that evoke parallel worlds, time tunnels, and glimpses into what lies beyond. The exhibition connected these ideas with questions of knowledge, time, memory, and the human desire to preserve and look into the future.
