Kristen Roos is an interdisciplinary artist and educator whose practice moves between sound and visual work. His work draws on the environment and the sonic qualities of different landscapes, while his more recent practice is rooted in media archaeology and the history of computers. He explores the connections between weaving, the Jacquard loom, early computer systems, digital imagery, and algorithmic music, combining conceptual ideas, research, and experimentation.
